Bear & Co. presents The Taming of the Shrew

One of William Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, this play focuses on the battle of the sexes, this time with a twist:  True to the original period, the Bears have opted to make this an all-male production.

Chris Bedford and Scott Florence talk about Taming of the Shrew and give you a look at one of the scenes:

Bear & Co.'s Taming of the ShrewShakespeare’s most outrageous comedy, like you’ve never seen it before.  First comes love, then comes marriage?  Not according to William Shakespeare.  First you’ve got to tame the bride, but what if she plays rough?  Treat her like a man, of course.  Let the battle begin.

The play is directed by Eleanor Crowder and features Scott Florence, Brie Barker, Jim Murchison, Guy Buller, Chris Bedford, Nick Amott, Scott Humphrey and Tim Oberholzer.

The show runs from April 18th through May 5th, Tuesday to Saturday at 8:00 p.m.  Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 3:00 p.m.  Tickets are $39, with discounts for seniors and students.  They can be purchased online at The Gladstone’s website, by calling 613.233.4523, emailing gladstoneboxoffice©gmail•com, or in person at the door: 910 Gladstone.
